Re: Override a UTI?

Thanks for bringing me up to speed, I assume all of these issues came up a long time ago when Spotlight was released. Because
of the nature of my apps (The ElectricImage Animation System among others) I didn't bother to look at supporting UTIs. It was only
the coincident release of OS 10.5 with QuickLook and the release of a new version of my apps that caused me to dig into this. My
customers are clamoring for QuickLook support for their .img files and I figured it would be a trivial matter to add the support since
a QT component already existed for the format. It's too bad that I can't add the support (without altering the plist file in
DiskImageMounter.app).

It's also a little frustrating that this problem hasn't been dealt with before now. From the low bug number that Sean McBride posted
earlier (3772935), I take it that the problem was reported several years ago.
