Viewgraphics has QuickTime components which support the VideoPump HD and D1 (SD)
PCI boards. Currently, these run on Windows NT and Win2000. Applications which
support QuickTime such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Discreet Logic
Combustion, Pinnacle Commotion, Viewgraphics Clipper, etc., will work with the
formats supported by the Sony HDCAM F-500. Clipper is an application that will
frame accurately capture from or laydown to the Sony Deck. It supports
QuickTime movie file format on a standard NTSC file system. These files can be
easily accessed and processed by other QuickTime enabled applications and can
then be layed down to tape via Clipper. The formats supported by the VideoPump
are '2vuy' and 'v210'. See Iceflow document #19 on uncompressed Y'CbCr formats
to get the specifics on these formats (ie. media timescale, frame duration,
frame height and width and data format). There are also some utilities for
converting sequences of images from a watch folder into a QuickTime movie. I
would suggest checking out the Viewgraphics web site or technical support for
more specific details
