Broadcast Quality Quicktimes

We create quicktime files intended for professional editors using any system
which can import quicktime movies. In doing so, we need our files to be
compatible with any system, as well as of high enough quality for those
editors preparing a project for broadcast. Having encountered many issues
with jitter and loss of color quality(artifacting), we continue to search
out the most effective method of capturing video and converting to
quicktime. I have used several systems for both import and
export, yet still fail to find the "perfect" solution.

Given my intentions, I wondered if anyone might shed any light on preferred
methods or specific concerns regarding quicktime preparation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
