Threads and QuickTime in Mac OS X

Given the talk of the Spork in QuickTime and its role in performance of
multithreaded apps on Win32, I asked a while back about the MP nature of
QuickTime on Mac OS.

I didn't get a response then, but maybe I wasn't specific enough. Here
are the main questions I have:

1. Is there anywhere in QuickTime for Win32 that takes advantage of MP?
(Like codecs, etc.)
2. Is there anywhere in QuickTime for Mac OS that takes advantage of MP?
3. Can you even call QuickTime in an MP safe manner on X? (I know you
really can't under Carbon - does it work under Cocoa?)

Thanks,
Willie Abrams
