examples using SoundConverterFillBuffer and SoundConverterSetInfo?

I've seen a few references saying that SoundConverterFillBuffer is the new replacement for SoundConverterGetBufferSizes etc.
Is there are any sample code using SoundConverterFillBuffer?

Also, it looks like I should set the input sample format if its from an existing movie by using SoundConverterSetInfo to get the existing compression settings - is that correct? SoundConverterSetInfo appears to be undocumented - any description of how to use it?
