Thanks Glenn for answering,

Actually if I choose "none" from the dialog box (call to
MovieExportDoUserDialog function), I will have the same results you're
saying for an exported AVI file. However, if I use kRawCodecType or
kWindowsRawCodecType to export raw data programmatically, it won't work, I
keep receiving code -8961 (noCodecErr).

Try using kRawCodecType. I just did a test export from QuickTime
Player as an AVI with compression set to "None", and when I open it
again, QuickTime Player says the format is 'WRAW' which is
kWindowsRawCodecType.
