Movie flattening

I posted this question just over a week ago with no response. I still
prefer not to have to implement the workaround even if it is fairly
simple.

When I flatten a movie using:

Movie aMovie =
::FlattenMovieData( mMovie, flattenAddMovieToDataFork |
flattenForceMovieResourceBeforeMovieData,
&mMovieOutputFileSpec, FOUR_CHAR_CODE('TVOD'),
smSystemScript, 0);

If the file that the flattened movie is being saved into already
exists, then I can click on the file in Finder before this function has
finished. The result is the file is then nearly always corrupt and
can't be used. If I don't select the file then everything is fine.

A simple workaround is to create a new file hidden away somewhere and
after it has been created move it to the correct location, but perhaps
I am doing something wrong.

Suggestions, ideas, thoughts anyone.

Kevin
