FireWire video component

Hi,

From a Cocoa application by using the Apple's FireWire video output
component to playout a DV stream I have the following problems:

1.While a clip is playing if I am opening a NSSavePanel the output
freezes.The cause might be the main run loop stopped when a modal
dialog is opened but I have no other way to do it because if I am
calling the MoviesTask from a thread the application is crashing
sometimes( Yes I've been using the
CSSetComponentsThreadMode(kCSAcceptThreadSafeComponentsOnlyMode) and
EnterMoviesOnThread(0) on my thread but still the app is crashing
after a while).
Any help/hint will be very, very appreciated.

2.I am not able to select the isochannel I want to use with my
firewire device.Any ideas if this is possible?
Seems that the FireWire video output component is working in broadcast
mode.
I am planing to have two different outputs playing out in the same
time.
