Codecs and Preview - one line short == crash?

Anyone know if there is an outstanding problem with Codecs and generating previews with them under OS X 10.3.3 /QT6.5?

My Bayer codec works fine for compression and decompression of every thing I've thrown at it.

However if an application tries to create a preview (using MakeFilePreview()) after encoding with it, it crashes in my decompression code. I've chased it down to the pixmap buffer it decodes to is is smaller (by one line) then it is supposed to be (ie it says the pixmap is 480 lines high, but is providing me with 479 lines in the pixmap). If I change my decompression algorithm to output one less line then the problem goes away - but that leaves a missing line in the other images and is not a solution nor acceptable.
