Re: destinationBufferMemoryPreference

Oh, and also maybe clean out ALL the OLD docs from the web site, or archive them.
I hate doing searches and get 100s of results from old and outdated files.
I just want the ones relevant to the last couple years MAX.

While some of the docs are getting better, I do think Apple should hire 100 documentation people and engineers to help, for at least ONE year and get these things up to date and complete.
I grow very tired of seeing "undocumented" beside parameters or fields for API calls that have been around for 10 years.

In some cases this seems just plain pathetic, but I do understand that there is only a limited amount of resources put towards this.

If I am at WWDC I will provide LOUD feedback telling them that its getting better, but they still get a failing grade.

Hi John;

Thanks very much for the reply.

However, I also want documentation (what to use, when to use and why to use) on some of the other fields in the structure too. Since Apple has not updated their html pages for any of these functions since 1999, nothing for QT 6.0 or higher is even listed let alone documented.

Frankly if I was someone new to the Mac and had to use Apple's online documentation to bring product to the Mac - I would think that Apple had stopped doing development on that Mac back in 1999 - 5 YEARS ago. This only strengthens the perception that not only are companies (like Adobe, Verizon, MicroSoft) stopping development and support for the Mac - so has Apple.

But what do I know about it...
