Re: QT703 really, really slow

Please file a bug at bugreport.apple.com. We'd like to look into this. It's essential that you provide us with a test application that follows the exact steps your app follows. Other important information: what is it that's slower? InsertTrackSegment? Or the export itself? I'm guessing the export itself. What API's are you using to do the export? ConvertMovieToFile/DataRef?

Thanks.

I am assembling a QT audio-only movie with NewMovieFromFile and
InsertTrackSegment. (each of which are called about 20 times).

I then export this to an AAC MP4 with the standard QT exporter but a custom
progress bar. In QT652 it was slow, but reasonable (7 minutes to export a 20
minute audio file).

Under QT703 it takes 20-30 minutes to do the same thing. The 20 source files
are all MP3 and we are trying to compress them all onto a single track MP4.
It works, but is very slow indeed.

Any thoughts or clues?
