At the risk of starting a flame war, I wanted to just float the following
question on this list to see what people might think.
I work with a few Windows folks. Several times they have mentioned DirectX
and how great it is. As I have struggled to learn QuickTime, I have found
some of the "common" things to do are pretty difficult.
Is there some answer to my colleagues on the Windows side about why many
things are so difficult in QuickTime and what makes QuickTime better than
DirectX?
Please understand I am not agreeing with these Windows folks, just trying to
understand what are the true advantages of each platform.
Thank you,
Chas.
