I had some trouble understanding how QuickTime IIDC camera feature flags map to the IIDC standard.
For what concerns the features CAPABILITIES, I come up with this mapping QuickTimeIIDC Standard IIDC Standard vdIIDCFeatureFlagOn PRESENCE vdIIDCFeatureFlagOff ONOFF vdIIDCFeatureFlagManual MANUAL vdIIDCFeatureFlagAuto AUTO vdIIDCFeatureFlagTune ONE_PUSH vdIIDCFeatureFlagRawControl READOUT vdIIDCFeatureFlagAbsoluteControl ABS_CONTROL Note however that the mapping is imperfect (for instance vdIIDCFeatureFlagOn does not quite match PRESENCE). Besides, what really confuses me is how these flags should be interpreted when WRITING the SETTINGS of a feature in order to obtain the expected IIDC behavior. For example, if vdIIDCFeatureFlagOn really corresponds to PRESENCE, it should always be equal to one. Moreover, it is not clear what happens with conflicting settings such as vdIIDCFeatureFlagOn|vdIIDCFeatureFlagOff. Finally, the IIDC standard couples the flags AUTO, ONE_PUSH and ONOFF in a specific way, and it is not clear how this maps to QuickTime. Is there any accurate description of these mechanisms?
