I'm playing with recording (using WhackedTV as a basis) of audio, while fast-user switching.

I noticed that recording "stops" when the user is switched, even though the same time continues. It's as though the mic is muted while switched to some other user (but the level meter of this other user is active and working if I bring up system prefs and check the audio input).

Is there something I must do in order to get this to work with a fast-user switch using the seq grabber API?

This behaves correctly (at least this is how it was designed). If recording were allowed to continue while another user is logged in, you'd effectively being spying on that person. They wouldn't necessarily know they were being recorded. This is considered a security breach. Audio is only active for the logged in user.
