| Hi all, I'm wondering what is the best way to color profile a movie. I've found and read the "Letters from the Ice Floe #19" which explain the 'colr' Image Description. I have a few questions about it's use though: 1) is that the state of the art for movie profiling or is there a new way of doing it? 2) does it work with other codecs like Photo-JPEG, Motion-JPEG, MPEG4? The document only talk's about uncompressed YUV. 3) does it apply to RGB codecs? primaries and transfer function make sense for RGB also, only the matrix would not be needed. At last: what will QT actually do with a movie that has this extension - how will it treat it differently from a movie that does not have the extension. Mark |
