Posted also to the QTJava list - but lack of traffic there makes me scares me...  

QuickTime 7.1.5 broke our OS X web app which plays video back from cd-rom.  We're now looking for a solution (as we move to a complete streaming solution).  Can a signed QTJava applet be allowed to play video from a cd-rom?  Also are there issues in the different Intel Java/QT/OSX systems regarding these permissions and working capabilities, simple as they are? 

And a micro-vent from moi...  when we take capabilities away they should be replaced with user-permissioned capabilities.  IMO...
