RE: Movie Quality when played by Active X

Not sure if there's a workarround, but you could try my QTVRControlX ActiveX
control instead to see if it does the job ok

Subject: Re: Movie Quality when played by Active X

Hi again,

Some testing revealed that the problem seems to be connected to having the
controller bar visible. When not visible, the movie scales and even
stretches beautifully, but with the controller attached, there are a few
jagged edges even when I let the movie play at full resolution (using
qtControlFitsMovie for sizing). Is there any way to detach the controller so
that it will be visible but not interfere with the playback quality?

Regards,
Lisbeth

Control. Current problem is in regard to playback quality. Several of the
movies are animations, giving them very crisp lines and sharp edges, which
are no problem for the Quicktime Player - whether playing in the original
resolution (1024 x 576) or scaled down to 832 x 468. However, playing the
animations in our application, scaled at 832 x 468, the edges are no longer
sharp, but jagged and especially circular wheels look horrible. Is there
anything that can be done about this? Our last resort is permanently scaling
the movies to the correct resolution, but we fear losing quality when
playing the movies full screen if we do that (plus it's a lot of work). Any
advice?
