Direct3D Context question

Hi,
I am looking for some help to see if anyone's ever used direct3d with windows quicktime SDK.

I'm trying to use some of the newer methods in quicktime to extract frames off screen. From what I've read apple now recommends that we use NewMovieFromProperties and that this allows the use of a context.

In quicktime 7 for windows update guide it makes reference to the function QTPixelBufferContextCreate. However, as far as I can tell this isn't available on windows yet (let me know if I'm wrong). So that leaves me with QTDirect3DTextureContextCreate only. If there's any other ways please let me know.

Has anyone tried to use a direct3d context to get video data offscreen? Does anyone have any ideas of if this might be possible?

If this is not doable then I will have to fall back on the old GWorld approach.

Thanks,
Ryan
