I posted the timing problem description but had no response. I really
need to know if QuickTime handles this requirement:
My application needs to retrieve video output timing information from
the board. Does QuickTime carry timing information while playing back
video? To be more concise: the application needs a [frame number / host
time] pair, meaning that the given frame number is to be output from the
physical jack at a given host time. This is common in the video board's
APIs and needed to sync audio to video and to know what movie frame to
enqueue next. The problem is that these APIs are not available for OSX
because QuickTime is used instead.
