The obvious workaround would be to not signal droppable frames if the component is being opened for export. Unfortunately I can't find any way to detect this, and I don't have time for any reverse-engineering, so it may come down to adding a UI option to disable framedropping signalling.

I definitely can't see any reason why marking a frame as kCodecFrameTypeDroppableDifference should affect decoding that's not happening in realtime.

It seem's that QuickTime doesn't produce all the frame generally with H.264 and MPEG-4.

It's catastrophic when you are trying to encode in another format when you have 2 same images....

5 - 4 - 3 - 2 -1

This is ok in this case.

I think it's a big bug in QuickTime, do you have any informations
about this issue, or trick
to have the correct images with Core Video ?
