Yes, assuming Apple's render actually listens to what we tell it do via track settings..

Thanks Milton, unfortunately it seems that is not a good assumption. I set the track load settings as you suggested, and later got them again to make sure it "took," but it made no difference in the image quality (or the speed, even though hintsHighQuality has the comment "slooooow."


I have a better quality image scaler so my workaround is to decompress the image to the codec native width and scale it up as required on my own.
