Re: Creating ISMA standard MPEG-4 videos with QTJ

I have been writing a capture app that will create standard MPEG-4 files that will play in the big three players, Quicktime, Windows Media Player and Real. I can capture using the MPEG-4 codec but these files don't play back in anything except Quicktime player. For one thing, there seems no way to create the SDSM and ODSM tracks.

I think this is your problem... MPEG-4 samples in a QT movie != MPEG-4 movie - you must actually export to a MPEG 4 container... Although the MPEG 4 container is based on a QT Movie, it isn't one - try exporting your movies from QT Player as MPEG files and see what happens in the other players... if this works, use the movie export component for MPEG 4 movies.
