atomic instrument

I am trying to create an atomic instrument from an aiff file, using the code
from the sample PlayTune code.

As you can see, the sample rates do not tie in between these two system.outs,

quicktime.sound.SoundComponentData[flags=0,format=twos,numChannels=2,sampleSi
ze=16,sampleRate=44100.0,sampleCount=44066]

quicktime.std.music.InstSampleDesc[dataFormat=twos,numChannels=2,sampleSize=1
6,sampleRate=32768.0,sampleDataID=11,offset=0,
numSamples=44066,loopType=0,loopStart=0,loopEnd=44066,pitchNormal=69,pitchLow
=0,
pitchHigh=127]

even though I call
mySampleDesc.setSampleRate (mySndInfo.getSampleRate());

What is more, if I specifically set the sample rate to 22050 it is fine; if
try to set it to 44100 or 48000 it still refuses to go above 323768.

Any Clues???
