QT DV Capture Bug

Hi all,

I have been having problems capturing from a Analogue to DV converter. Are
there any known problems with this?

It worked as of recently (Not sure when but my guess it 6.0.2) and it worked
perfectly.

We are using Miglia - Directors cut boxes.

Basically I can capture from other DV devices such as video cameras or usb
capture devices. And yes I swapped the Firewire cable and the box and even
the cable position.


So the bug in detail.

Capturing DV Video (DV Audio seems fine)
on OS X 10.2 (Haven't checked windows yet)

And here comes the twist ...

I can play the file on my machine, I can even play the file on another
machine if I copy the file using an external FireWire Drive. However if I
send the file via FTP or download it via HTTP or even transfer it through
Apple File Sharing I can not open it ??? Weird huh!! (By the way or app is a
distributed system if your wondering how I found the bug)

Now it seems to me that there is a bug somewhere in QT and that it is just
lucky the file will play on my machine. I can say this because I tested the
box and my software (both exactly the same) on a machine running 10.1.5 and
QT 5 and it worked perfectly! I have recorded thousands of times before
using the same box and had no problems!!

So can anyone help me??

Gotta go home now but I will do some more testing tomorrow (hopefully on
Windows and QT 6.0) and let you know how I go.

Apple guys - can you suggest any reasons why this might be happening ??
