Re: DESPERATION: QTSession.open() CRASHES on XP

Well I have been making a demo of getting all this to work sweet :) All OS's

It duss work DON9T PANIC! Arrrr! PANIC! I am running WinXP at home and its
all sweet as a nut mate. What u have run into is a nightmare in the VM
world. I have this on the 1.4._01-bx also, it seems to happen to other SDK
jars also. Best thing u can do is ship with a final VM not a beta.

Way I got around the VM hell is to use InstallAnywhere and set the VM u want
your app to use. Works cool as, shame it will cost u dollar. Apple users get
VM later but they work. Windows users get the betas that just don9t work for
sh** m8 :).

But as I say I am running WinXP Java1.4.1 and its cool. Np even QTJava
Applets work sweet :) (part from the JDK and JRE VM hassle).

Well good luck do - When we made a QTJava CD-ROM we used InstallAnywhere
just to be safe.
