DESPERATION: QTSession.open() CRASHES on XP

QTSession.open() do not work on WinXP (ok on Win98/ME):

Configuration:

- WinXP SP1 on AMD Athlon;
- Matrox G550;
- java version "1.4.1_01";
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-b01, mixed mode)
- Quicktime for java v 6.0.2

I was going to burn and distribute my CDs. I'm desperate.
Workarounds welcome.

I always get this dump:
