Sourcecode for imagemanipulation through java...

Hi at the list!

Where can I find sourcecode for imagemanipulation with qt4java?
the examples coming with Mac OS X are all examples which run ONSCREEN.

I need a way to konvert between different imageformats offscreen an
adding certain things to an image e.g. some written title-bar.

is there any place on the net, where i can find things like this?

I am really confused after i read for 6 hours in the API with all the constants and
different areas (movie, anim, image) and so forth...

thought it would be EASY to convert an image.
