as far as I know, THIS is impossible.
you clearly need to have quicktime installed on a machine that runs an applet which uses quicktime.
this MUST be clear, the machine renders the images and movies, therefore the technology/software for rendering this must be installed on the machine.
you cannot use QT4Java, to bring Multimedia to other machines through the "backdoor".

p.s.: by the way is this list usally so unresponsive as here? I am used to a list for webobjects developers, where there is real competency around. my impression of this list is that it ist not really useful for me. do you know other lists which deal with QT4J which are more useful?
