Has anyone come up with a decent solution in 6.1 for mimicking QTCanvas' ability to maintain a movie's aspect ratio automatically when resized?

I'm almost there by subclassing JPanel, adding my QTComponent to it, then override the JPanel's paint method and set the movie's size. It works, but the movie quickly redraws at the JPanel's new size before redrawing with the new size I have given it. I've tried using a component adapter to listen for resize, but the draw seems to happen before I get called.

Just wondering if anyone had dealt with this - thanks! Also, big thanks to Chris for his book, it's awesome.
