Using the broadcaster API?

Title: Using the broadcaster API?
I was wondering if anyone has ever used QuickTime for Java to stream live data from something other than a camera or microphone.  My understanding is that I would need to supply the Presentation class with a non-default Sourcer, but I cannot figure out exactly how to do that.

There is an article written by Chris Adamson, “http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2005/01/12/strmng_qtj.html”, which talks about using QuickTime for Java to stream live data and eludes to using a different Sourcer to stream something other than live content, but does not describe the process in that article.

I also found a message in the archives of the Apple Mailing Lists at “http://lists.apple.com/archives/quicktime-java/2003/Feb/msg00007.html” that seems to be asking the same question I am.  That message was posted over two years ago and I am hoping someone has figured it out since then.

Please take at the web pages above and let me know of any ideas that come to mind?

Thanks,

Jason
