Hi,
I have found a problem with QTSession.close(), and have posted an
applet which demonstrates the problem.
The applet can be found at: http://www.anode.com/qtproblem
The applet on this page was built from the source code available for
download.
QuickTime 7 seems to be required to use this with a browser, since it
blows up browsers on Windows systems with Quicktime 6.5.2. I have not
tried this on an OSX system with 6.5.2. I wrote this applet on an OSX
Tiger system with QT7 & Java 1.5.
In a nutshell, the QT program has problems (when it works) in Windows
right after a new DataRef object is created, and that DataRef object
is used to create a new GraphicsImporter object. The problems appear
only when one chooses to close and then open a Quicktime session prior
to creating the DataRef & GraphicsImporter (see the checkbox to do
that). The problems appear when calling the GraphicsImporter
constructor. One problem is: (-2003) cantFindHandler.
I have tried to make this demo as easy as possible to run & isolate
the problem. Please take a minute to check out the demo & offer any
comments or suggestions to the quicktime-java listserver.
Thanks,
