Hmmm

Looking at your mail again i see that you didnt mention Windows.

The \QTSystem\QTJava.zip path only applies to Windows of course.

It must have been the "does not seem to allow me an install QTJava option

to which I was accustomed" that threw me off.

QTJava.zip has always been present on Mac OS X and has never

required a custom install.

Anyway, now you know where to find it.

This must have been covered before.

But I have just rejoined the list after two years away,

and cannot locate the solution to my problem.

I am writing a Java app to run with Java 1.4.x

on MacOS 10.4, which means (?) that I need

"New QTJava in Quicktime 6.4". But all paths lead

me to Quicktime 7, which does not seem to allow me

an install QTJava option to which I was accustomed.

I assume 6.4 did, but how does one get that now?!

I also have a running 10.1, which is no use when I read

that "Support for QTJava with J2SE1.4.1 on Mac OS X 10.2

is available from software update."

I won't bore you with the hassles we had in the old days

of MacOS8->9 handling this problem.

So where is there a proper repository of QTJava.zip files where I can get

the one I need?
