ITunes TV files

I hadn't seen the first couple of episodes of Lost yet, so after Steve's announcement yesterday, I updated to QuickTime 7.0.3 and bought the season premiere episode from iTunes. It seems to be some sort of .m4v file. I can play this in iTunes and I can play this in QuickTime Player. However, when I try to open it in my own Amateur (based on QuickTime for Java) I get a "notAllowedToSaveMovieErr". Stack trace is:

I'm not trying to save the movie, just open it; and on the same computer where I bought the show. This should work.

Any ideas? What does QuickTime Player have that I don't, and how do I get it? Is this one of those annoying areas where DRM restricts me from doing something completely reasonable with content I've purchased and that, according to Steve, I now "own"? If so, has anyone cracked this yet?
