That's my guess too - maybe they thought we'd grab the GWorld and start encoding that into a new file. Not that I'm in any hurry to re-encode something at so low a resolution, in violation of many laws (some of them actually legitimate and sensible), but someone probably would. Thing is, QuickTime Player can play this stuff, so there's some process by which it can be done by non-iTunes applications. We'll have to wait and see if that process is in the QuickTime API and whether it's ever revealed through legitimate channels. --Chris |
