The fix for this should now be available with the iTunes 6.0.1 update
(it includes a QT 7.0.3 with a rebuilt QTJ).
Oh, and I did nothing to fix this, just spreading the news.

I really don't have anything new to say in there, but I wanted to
point the broader community to Bill's reassurance that a fix is
coming, Gruni's workaround, and to note that there are a lot of
people who've checked in with the list that we haven't heard from
before (which open my eyes to a lot more active QTJ development than
I was previously aware of, given that people were posting within a
day of the "expiration").
