check out JAWT api regarding this one (JavaWorld had an interesting tip/sample on that)


problem will be heavyweight (AWT Canvas) with lightweight component mixing as usual, unless you provide some offscreen capability too (play in memory [main or video one - modern cards have lots of video memory that is not used for the direct display] and copy images to screen using java drawing APIs then, so that you have a lightweight component)
