DRM and Video in QuickTime

Has anything changed in last year or two? I've been searching and it seems that video with DRM purchased from ITunes still cannot be played using QuickTime's API. Music can, but video can't. Is this still the case? If so, is anything going to change? If not, then does anybody got sample code on how to play a DRM'd video file?

Ironically, this protection scheme will lead me to have to *not* get the money to the artists....instead of providing a easy way for users of my shareware product to use iTunes videos in a playlist (i.e. user would be paying the artist), I'm going to go with youtube playlists and videos (user will not be paying the artists).

As an aside, anybody try applescript and/or javascript with QTPlayer and DRM? That should work, right?
