Calculate bitrate from QuickTime plugin

I have a QuickTime plugin on my web page.
 
If I click the QuickTime window then a standalone QuickTime will appear and I can go Window-->Show Movie Inspector which will show me the bitrate of the movie.
 
I need to be able to calculate the bitrate of the video myself.  Is it possible to do this using _javascript_ or any other method from my webpage.
