Wow very expensive service in Spain - I am paying $40 Canadian for 900k down/120 k up. 45 Euros would be about $ 70 Canadian. I have read articles that suggest that even $40 Canadian for a Canadian hook up is excessive.

In Spain, 256k ADSL (with 128k return IIRC) is pretty commonplace,
physical copper pair available only from the former telco monopoly (and de
facto current monopoly as well), with a dozen ISPs to choose. About 45
Eur/month depending on the chosen ISP
