Why oh why is it that almost every time I try to watch some stream (live or canned) on the internet with QuickTime do I get "Negotiating" then "Requested data"?

I'm running 3 macs on cable modem via a LinkSys DSL router, I opened the 7070 port, I've "auto-transport-setup"'d, I've manually switched to port 7070 because it setups itself to 554.

This has gotten on my nerves a lot, especially since WMP and RealOne are now both available in OSX, and with either it usually works, even if I have to manually copy / paste the URL of the stream into the player.
