    Got a PAL/NTSC question for y'all

    When converting between NTSC and PAL, does the PAL 576 line raster
correspond with 480 lines in NTSC or 486 lines?  If it is 480 lines, we'd
need to crop out six lines when converting to PAL, and if it is 486 lines,
480 would have to be padded six lines before conversion.

I just did a search for +pal +ntsc +486 +576 in altavista, and found this page:

They only mention 486.
