Does anyone know of an up-to-date explanation (on the Apple site or

I think there is an AppleScript that will enable the movie to play automatically on the player.

The logic is that in the embed tag of a poster movie you put an HREF to the movie you want on the player but you target the QuickTimePlayer with target="quicktimeplayer".

Then the movie that opens in the player needs to be set to play automatically. You can do this with AppleScript, with LiveStage Pro, or even with cleaner when you compress the movie.

.... I'm just wondering that you may be able to set the "Auto Play Enabled" in the Movie properties (Movie->Get Movie Properties) in the QuickTime Player.
