Re: All MIT Courses Online Free - MPEG-4 ?? Now MPEG-7

Here's what is happening - folks are now developing exactly what I am describing. What they are doing is developing software which will 'look' for a hand - and then for a hand going in a specific path - as defined by a submitted video or other input. These same folks say that it can be also done in MPEG-7 - but of course someone has to do it.

But the real point I am trying to make - is having an integrated system that keep the same (similar?) architecture (MPEG-4 etc.?) - for whatever one needs to do. And I don't need it today - I can wait.

And to my knowledge MPEG 7 or 21 cannot do what you asked below.

You mean that I could 'present' a short video clip of a 'Cross Body Lead' to a video database and the software would hunt up all similar clips to the clip I 'presented'.
