Gang - I'm working an article about video playback on PDA platforms.
I asked one of the toolset developers why their toolset would not
encode MPEG-1 files. He wrote me that:
"The encoder also supports Quicktime files and any formats supported by
Quicktime except MPeg files, because the Quicktime's MPeg implementation
was not written to be thread-safe, and this is necessary to run in the
Windows encoder framework. "
Isn't that a moot issue with the release of Version 6?
