Chris,
The easiest and fastest thing to do is get a Windows box and a copy of
Canopus's ProCoder. It can read native QuickTime files, and encode them to
Windows Media.
Virtual PC can work, but the speeds can be pretty glacial. A $600 P4
box will be easily 10x faster than VPC.
