Re: How do I Convert Quicktime to Windows Media Player..?

If you want it free and on Mac I would go for ffmpegX where you can encode it into an AVI-file (Divx/MS MPEG4) or MPEG1/2. All playable in WiMP but not with the same quality vs size as WM9, the Divx's needs proper codec though.

I don't have the WM Encoder at home but I recall it's possible to use a DV-file wich you can export from Imovie (Movie to DV stream). And if my memory is correct you have to rename it from "movie.dv" to "movie.avi".

Cheers.

Hello, Everyone I am using quicktime on Mac + Virtual PC6 and I need for a customer to convert my quicktime files to Windows Media Player, so far I tried exporting it from imovie using the .avi extension but when I open it with Windows Media Encoder , Version 9 , I get an error that it cannot find the codex ..blah blah ... etc..
Anyhow if anyone has an idea to convert Quicktime files to Window Media PLayer , I would appreciate a LOT ..
