Re: QT 6.5 does NOT reactivate MPEG-2 playback!



Ben,

I've downloaded the MPEG2 component from here
<http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/mpeg2playback/download/ >
and after installing it everything worked again.

You need a serial number from either DVDSP or FCP, but I imagine you 
have one of those. For those who bought the component separately, I'm 
sorry, I don't know what happens.

After installing all the recent Apple upgrades (incl QT 6.5) on top of 
the above download, I see several improvements in the playback of m2v 
files.
