Where can I find out more info on the differences in handling DV streams in QT 6.5?

<http://developer.apple.com/documentation/QuickTime/WhatsNewQT6_5/index.html> and for 6.4 have no information about this.

Specifically if the attributes of a video track are examined (i.e. QT Player Pro) in the 'quality' mode, there's a new feature 'de-interlacing'. I'm interested in whether or not the setting is app specific (i.e. only QT player) or implemented/supported by all QT-savvy apps.
