All it says is Data Format : MPG4 in the Movies>Get Movie Properties>Video
Track>Format area.

Colin,

    You don't have the right codec.  Open up the file in QuickTime Player,
and do a Show Movie Info, and it should show you the name of the codec.

    Plenty of codecs simply aren't available for Mac/QuickTime, alas.
