image extraction

Hi,

Recently I was trying to extract frames from a quicktime movie. The method i was following is decompress the frame and draw it in quickdraw view. Read the data from the quickdraw view and draw in image cell. 

But this is not working properly eventhiugh it draws the image in the image cell.
Is there any other method of extracting frames from a quickdraw movie and drawing in image cell? can any body help me to find a better solution for this problem?
